This program provides Sadoff customers with protection from Superfund liability under the terms of the "Superfund Recycling Equity Act". ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS:
- Sadoff has instituted an environmental management system to assure compliance with all substantive programs of the Federal, State and local environmental laws and regulations applicable to the handling and processing of metallic scrap.
- We exceed standard compliance as a member of an audited Cooperative Compliance Program under our storm water permit.
- Our consumers are audited for compliance, including on-site inspections, to ensure environmental security after products leave our facilities.
- Sadoff processing equipment is contained within concrete and curbed holding areas to manage storm water runoff.
- Our shredding operation is equipped with a complete dry air system to manage particulate matter and emissions.
- We hold all applicable air and water permits for the proper processing of all scrap metals.
- Products that contain oils and cutting fluids are managed in sealed containers, and processed in lined concrete holding bins to contain all fluids.
- All Sadoff trucks carry spill containment kits to manage fluids in the unlikely event of a leak or spill.
- Sadoff & Rudoy Industries does not handle or process hazardous materials or waste, eliminating exposure to the company and its customers.
